We are currently recruiting for the following positions for our 2018 season:

Seasonal Instructors

Dynamic, outgoing and confident Outdoor instructors are needed to join our team at a great location in the Cotswolds. You will be required to teach sessions from tasters through to skill level courses. Over the season you will have the ability to develop all your teaching skills and add to your experience toolbox.

Here at Waterland we work together, and play together. You will have time to play on the lake, have bbqs and enjoy the facilities here through the season. A friendly centre building on our strengths year on year.

We are looking for seasonal instructors with one or more of the following National Governing Body instructor qualifications:

RYA Sailing Instructor
UKCC Level 1 or 2 Kayaking/Canoeing Instructor with FSRT
RYA Start Windsurfing Instructor
Stand Up Paddleboard Instructor – either BCU or BSUPA
GNAS Archery Leader

Other activities we run are low ropes, raft building, bushcraft and general problem solving. If you hold experience and/or qualifications in these areas, this will be a bonus.

You must be flexible to a shift pattern working weekdays, weekends and some evenings, with taster sessions, lessons and courses. We work across the board from young people to adults, from fun to teaching skills, from tasters to qualification courses.

Waterland is a successful outdoor activity and training company based in the Cotswold Water Park near Cirencester. We are an Investors in People organisation. We are approved by the RYA and British Canoeing (formerly BCU) and hold AALS licence to July 2019.

Instructors - Apply

We take on instructors from March to September/October and variations in between. Pay rates will depend on skills and experience. For the right applicant there is an opportunity to develop into a senior role within the company. Uniform is provided; this is a non residential post.

Interviews will be held in January/February/March 2018.

Seasonal Hire Posts

Fun loving people are needed to join our team at a great location in the Cotswolds. Your role will be to cover the hire side of the business. This will involve greeting and meeting our customers, fitting buoyancy aids, processing payments and ensuring the kit is issued and returned in good order. You will also deal with customers bringing their own kit to the lake, ensuring they are safe and have paid the correct fees.

A love of the outdoors, confidence and customer service awareness are the qualities we require for this post. If you have powerboat driving experience and qualifications this will be a bonus. Candidates aged 16 + can be trained for the powerboat qualification.

Hire Staff - Apply

Full time and part time positions are available including weekends and some evenings.

We take on hire staff from March to September/October and variations in between. Pay rates will depend on skills and experience.

Closing Date: March, with interviews from February 2018 onwards.

Catering Assistants

We are currently looking for full and part time candidates to compliment our Catering Team here at Waterland. We are based in the Cotswold Water Park just 4 miles south of Cirencester. Currently we serve a range of simple foods such as Bacon Baps, Ice Cream, Cake, Tea and Coffee.

This role involves day-to-day customer contact, preparation of food, cooking, cleaning, money handling and stock management. Previous catering experience is desirable; you will need to hold Level 2 Food Safety and Hygiene Certificate. For the right people we can provide support for this course.

Based at Lake 32, at the Cotswold Water Park we have a wide range of clientele from Triathletes to Primary School Children, Sport Specific Training to Families enjoying a day out.
