Waterland has worked for many years with a variety of schools and young peoples groups for the provision of outdoor activities to supplement the School or Youth organisation programme.

We have schools returning year after year, with each new class enjoying the experience at Waterland, the open countryside, a safe and clean lake, and lots of fun, with a dose of learning put in for good measure. From sailing to archery, bridge building to windsurfing, we tailor programmes to fit with your budget, time and your programme.For schools we have developed our outdoor pursuits to complement the requirements of the key stages from Key Stage 2 onwards. From solving simple problems (i.e. raft building) to planning a journey (a trip to Waterland with activities) each element of the Key Stages can be catered for. Generally, the elements are in the Physical Education sector, but can also count towards Records of Achievement and the Personal Social Development aspects of education.

From young offenders to the unemployed, Waterland has worked with a wide variety of groups to complement and enhance their own programmes in delivering specifically designed activity sessions to address social, behavioral and self awareness issues as identified by you, the client. From one off sessions to a designed programme covering a number of weeks, we are able to develop a wide number of learning initiatives in the clients on order for them to be included successfully, for themselves, within society.

Adjacent to the site we have a large camping area which is usable for group bookings.
